Wow…it’s once again been a long time. I almost forgot how to log in to post! I’ve had a lot of things going on personally, but have at least been able to go to the Shelter most Saturdays. This Saturday, there were so many sweet dogs there…so many that didn’t seem like they should be there. Like the 8-year-old Golden Retriever who should be relaxing on a couple of acres, or the dachshund “couple” who were in cages next to each other but couldn’t be put together because they had not been spayed and neutered, and who were so frightened when we went to get them out of the cages for their pictures. And then there was “Buddy”, the big 112-lb. guy that was brought in as we arrived. Sweet as he could be, he just didn’t seem to understand why he was there. And honestly, I don’t either. There are some amazing dogs at the Newnan-Coweta Animal Shelter this week. And all need great forever homes. If you are thinking about getting a dog, I hope you’ll check out your local shelter or rescue organizations before contacting a breeder.
