posts about recent photography sessions

and also last weekend.

After Pugs on Parade, I was lucky enough to get to spend the night with some amazing APRA volunteers who have a houseful of pets – dogs, cats and birds. And of course, I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures since there were so many adorable subjects just milling around. :) And these pictures do not represent ALL of the animals…I missed the cats and didn’t want to embarrass the naked bird. And a couple of the dogs were either shy or I didn’t get really great shots of them. Oh well, a great excuse to go back and visit!

So, once again, thanks Ginny and David for the wonderful accommodations, great dinner, tasty wine, and for allowing my pack to hang out with your pack.

ino and zoey

Ino and Zoey are two absolutely beautiful Morkies (they also happen to be family members…so I’m not partial or anything). I met their mom (my beautiful stepdaughter) for lunch on Easter and we did a little session. I’d taken pictures of Ino when he was a baby but hadn’t gotten any of Zoey, so it was time. They are the cutest brother and sister. And they both adore (really that’s an understatement) their mom. Such sweeties! So here they are…Ino is the older one with the lighter face. When he was Zoey’s age, his face had more dark in it like hers so I don’t know. Maybe Zoey will get a lighter face, too. Either way, they are soooo cute!

saturday afternoon…in atlanta. part one.

After the shelter pictures on Saturday morning, I got to do a kind of double session in the afternoon in Atlanta. The first subject is Ladybird, and her sister Greta is featured as the header for this blog. So since I had done a session with Greta and her pictures are all  over the living room, Ladybird’s parents decided that she needed equal wall space. Ladybird is a sweet, regal, gentle girl and she was great fun to photograph! Here you go, J and S…your girl Ladybird:

pixel

Here is Pixel, a Flat Coat Retriever, which her mom says is a more common breed in Europe (in fact, her father is from Holland, I believe). She doesn’t really seem to know all of that, though. She was just sweet, fun, and playful with a lot of puppy still in her. Since pictures are worth at least a thousand words, I’ll let them speak for me:

….is this REALLY my first post this year? Wow…time is already flying!

j and k again

I have been photographing J since she was maybe 3 weeks old (?) and K since he was a month or so old (I think – time is flying!) and today we had K’s year-old session. We went to Serenbe near Palmetto. It was great. The kids got to see horses and we went to a treehouse. We had a great lunch there, too. And we had a beautiful day, too. The kids have been sick, though, and poor J was not feeling well at all. But they are such little troopers – we went ahead and they did a great job, I think! And they also passed out the minute we pulled out of the parking space. I just love these kids (and their parents)!

And here is K:

henry

This is a belated sneak peek – I should have had these up a while ago, but have gotten sidetracked. But they are worth waiting for! Henry is an awesome six-month-old German Shepherd (a sixty pound puppy!) whose session I did a couple of weeks ago. He was so sweet and very well-behaved, especially for a six-month old! (When Dodie the Pug was six months old, she was a holy terror, so in comparison, Henry was perfect!) I really enjoyed working with Henry and his mom – it was a great session and he is a wonderful dog.  So, meet Henry:

Isn’t he handsome? Thanks, Henry for a wonderful session on a beautiful fall afternoon!
